IPTV Smarters and Smarters Player can load a separate XMLTV source when your playlist profile exposes an EPG field. Use the private URL from your EPGWise dashboard to add programme titles, times, descriptions, and channel logos to an existing authorised playlist.
EPGWise feeds provide up to 7 days depending on country and a 7-day free trial where eligible. They are programme metadata only — no video streams, playlists, panel logins, or content are included.
Step-by-step setup
Open your playlist profile
Open IPTV Smarters / Smarters Player and select the profile you want to update. Choose Edit, Manage Playlist, or the profile settings menu; the label varies between app versions and devices.
Choose the guide source
For an M3U playlist, look for EPG URL, External EPG, or Install EPG. If you signed in with the Xtream Codes API, the guide may already be supplied by that service; only add an external source if your version shows a separate EPG field.
Paste your private EPGWise URL
Paste the complete URL from your dashboard. Keep the token private and do not post it in a screenshot or public forum.

Save the profile, choose Refresh EPG / Update EPG if available, and wait for the download to finish. Return to Live TV and open the guide to check a few channels.
Match channels if a listing is blank
The app matches programmes to channels using the playlist tvg-id and the XMLTV channel id. Use the app's channel mapping option when a channel name is different, or correct the playlist metadata first.
Why channel matching matters
An XMLTV feed contains schedules, not the channel playlist. Smarters must match each playlist entry to the same channel id in the feed before it can show the programme guide.
- Keep the playlist tvg-id and XMLTV channel id identical where possible.
- If the guide is empty for only a few channels, map those channels manually instead of replacing the whole feed.
- EPGWise supplies guide metadata only; it does not provide M3U playlists, streams, logins, or video content.
Configuration tips
- Use the .xml.gz URL first. If an older app rejects compressed XML, use the plain .xml URL shown in your dashboard.
- Update the app and clear its EPG cache when a previous provider guide is still displayed.
- Keep the device time zone set automatically so programme times are converted correctly.
Troubleshooting
The EPG field is missing. What should I do?
Some Smarters builds only expose an external EPG field for M3U profiles, while Xtream Codes API profiles fetch their guide automatically. Check the profile's Edit or Install EPG screen, then confirm the app is up to date.
The guide downloads but says No Information.
Check that the playlist's tvg-id values match the XMLTV channel ids. If only some channels fail, use channel mapping or the EPGWise M3U matcher to identify the mismatch.

Does EPGWise provide IPTV Smarters channels?
No. EPGWise provides private XMLTV programme-guide metadata. You must use a playlist and streams that you are authorised to access.
Can I use EPGWise with an Xtream Codes login in Smarters?
Often the Xtream Codes service supplies its own guide automatically. If your Smarters version exposes an external EPG field, you can add your private EPGWise XMLTV URL as a separate guide source.
Which EPG URL should I use in IPTV Smarters?
Use the private .xml.gz URL shown in your EPGWise dashboard, such as https://epgwise.com/epg/YOUR_TOKEN.xml.gz. Use the plain .xml URL only when the app cannot read gzip files.
